Gandhi's simple ideas are now interpreted and complicated according to our contemporary needs. Dhokra casting, an ancient technique where beeswax strings are coiled to create patterns, is used here to try and interpret Gandhi. This process parallels 3D printing technology, where objects are built through an additive process by layering material. Many Dhokra artisans worked like 3D printers, making wax coils to cast this bronze sculpture.
